Mayweather vs. Pacquiao preview

I thought this post I would go off of my beaten path and do something that I usually do not write about. This time I am writing about the biggest boxing fight over the last so many years that people are talking about. Floyd "Money" Mayweather vs. Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao. This has been a fight that was wanted for years now. I am always rooting for the underdog. The underdog in this fight is Pacquiao and rightly so. Mayweather is coming into the fight never once being defeated in his 47 career boxing matches. So I wish that Pac-Man will win this 'bout because who doesn't want to see an underdog win? Please leave your comments below on who you will think will win the match.

Rangers and Penguins in a heated battle

As of right now the series is tied 1-1 going into game 3 tonight in Pittsburgh. Now being a Pittsburgh fan I have to say that I am biased towards one team than the other. But as a hockey fan, I just want to see some good games being played. Now lets go back over to my biased side wanting the Penguins to win. Starting out I thought that the Penguins had a good chance to upset the President winning Rangers. People may say that I might be lying, but once the playoffs start it begins at a clean slate again. Through the first two games in the series already, Henrik Lundqvist a.k.a Hank a.k.a King Henrik has shown that he is human and will give up goals. The key for the Penguins in the series in to get pucks towards the net, don't take as many penalties as they have so far, and limit the scoring chances of the dangerous Rangers and the Penguins will have a chance to upset the Rangers and move on to the next round. Pirates preview 2015

Well it's that time of the year again, baseball season is upon us and what's better than having a few hot dogs and watching a baseball game. Specifically a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game. My personal belief being a bias-homer is that the Pirates are going to have a great season. With Pedro Alverez moving to first, Polanco being the everyday right fielder, and Francisco Cervelli taking over Russell Martin's spot at catcher these are only a few questions that need to be answered. But with Andrew McCutchen back again leading the charge along side Neil Walker, Gerrit Cole, and Mark Melancon closing baseball games, I expect to see them contending the National League Central along with the Cardinals, Cubs, Brewers and Reds. I see this team winning more than 85 games this season and making to the playoffs, and hopefully contending for a World Series Championship. Please leave your comments below.

Stephen Curry will be the 2015 NBA MVP

If I had to put my life savings on the line, and predict who will win the 2015 NBA MVP, I would put my savings on Golden State Warriors guard, Stephen Curry. Curry has put up incredible statistics so far this season, and without him the Warriors would be in the middle of the pack in the tough Western Conference. Through this season, Curry is averaging just under 24 points per game. To along with that, Curry assists per game is just under 8 per game. There are also other good choices this year for the MVP. James Harden (Houston Rockets), Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder), and LeBron James (Cleveland Cavaliers) are all good selections for the MVP, but if I had to put money on it, I would choose Steph Curry. Others may disagree, and that's fine its all about personal opinion and personal preference, but I choose Curry. Please leave your comments below.

Brock Lesnar signs deal with WWE

Late yesterday afternoon Brock Lesnar announced on ESPN's Sportscenter that he has signed a new multi-year deal with World Wrestling Entertainment or WWE. This will end his career or return to the octagon. For Brock Lesnar this is a great deal because as he put it, "I've been in a bad position w/healthy & money. Now I'm in a good position with both. I work part time with full time pay." This also is very good for WWE. The reasoning behind this is that Lesnar is an entertainer that is very polarizing. He can back it up with his wrestling, and he doesn't have to talk. He has arguably one of-if not the best talkers and mangers that WWE has ever seen. His name is Paul Heyman and he has been Lesnar's right hand man since he has been in the WWE. In the end this deal works out for both Lesnar and the WWE, and us as fans are getting what we want...for once. Please leave your comments down below.

"Winning" Free Agency Doesn't Equal Winning Results

We are a little under a week of the free agency period opening up, and there has been a lot of money being thrown around. "Winning" free agency does not guarantee that your team is going to be good next year. Giving Ndamukong Suh $60 million in guaranteed money does not mean that the Dolphins wins are going to increase exponentially. I'm not saying that he isn't worth that money, all I'm saying is that Suh had a much more complete team around him in Detroit which contributed to why he is making so much money for the next so many years. Last year media that covered the NFL said that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers "won" free agency. A 2-14 record later and they are currently on the clock with the intentions to draft Jameis Winston out of Florida State. "Winning" free agency doesn't equal at least immediate wins, but you never know how a team will perform until they're on the field. Please leave your comments below.

Athletes getting too many breaks

On Thursday U.S. District Judge David Doty ruled in favor of Adrian Peterson's suspension. Judge Doty overturned NFL arbitrator Harold Henderson. Peterson's suspension for beating his son with a switch will soon slowly go down the drain. What does the Peterson case show you? It shows that professional athletes could do something terribly wrong and within a small window can be reinstated and be in the lineup on Sunday's. Something is very wrong in today's society. If an average male did the same exact thing that Adrian Peterson did and beat your son with a switch, then that person would be in jail for a very long time. Sometime in the very near future free-agent and former Carolina Panther Greg Hardy will be appealing the NFL's decision on his suspension. I am going to guess and say that Hardy will be reinstated to league in the very near future. I hope that someone out there will stand up and say no to these players getting breaks and being able to play in the league again. You can make your own opinion on this subject.
